Project Details

We have permanent projects......

1."Happy Home" Project [It is a Project of free school where we give service like Education, Food, Entertainment programs, Games etc. to the slum and street kids. We have different centers of Happy Home Projects.]

Since we Started our first target is to "Give Smile to All The Needy Children". In this movement Our Target Groups are "Street, slum and destitute Children" in India .We Started welfare activities with the help of our Members, Staffs and Volunteers. We noticed that these section of needy kids are suffering from malnutrition due to unavailability of regular food and dirty / naked body due to unavailability of Shelter and Cloth and always found with lots of diseases because of the unavailability of any Medical support.

And the root of all problems is the Illiteracy . So we decided to Start this Project named "HAPPY HOME"a non formal free School for these needy kids. We already have three Centers of "Happy Home Project" located in Kolkata (Calcutta) where we are trying to provide food, clothing ,education, Medical Supports, entertainment etc. There are children from Slums and Street. These children will get education till they are 18 years old and get various training in last two years ,to stand on their own feet. We are looking for the long/medium/short term volunteers to work with our children directly where Volunteers can teach these kids in our school, play with them etc. All these children that we have at present are from 4 to 12 years old and they need real love and attachment from our volunteers. In near future we like to make many more other permanent centers of "Happy Home" through out India.Organization needs huge Volunteers' Support to run this Project.

 2. "Street Children Welfare" Project [ It is a project specially for the street kids where we provide services like Education, Food, Cloth, Medical Treatment ,entertainment programs etc. we have different centers of this project.]

Since "SMILE -Society" established it was our one of main Project and the first center of this Project which is going on from Sealdah Station and our work normally start at the early morning from 5:00-7:30 a.m for these needy kids. We choose this station because it is the main station of Kolkata and there are many needy homeless children who live there . Some of the children live there with their families some of them live there alone. These children are unprotected to the harassment by the police and local mafias.

They don't get any medical support because local hospitals do not care about Street People. For our volunteers Sealdah Program starts at 3:40 a.m. when they leave from their accommodation [20 k.m away from Sealdah Station]. At 5:00 a.m. they arrive at the Sealdah Station and start their activities. Within many type of welfare activities washing, Cleaning, food supply, education, medical service ,cloth supply [time to time] etc. are main regular services done by the Organization on this place. After washing these kids ,they get breakfast and then our staffs & Volunteers give them basic education, Medical treatment and shear affection and smile with these kids. In near future we want to make this program every day [Monday-Sunday] but for this we need huge number of regular Volunteer Participation in this Project ,so come and join SMILE and help us to improve our movement & fight against the Poverty ,Hunger, Illiteracy .
This type of permanent programs we also will going to do from many other places in india .

3." Kids land " Project [ This our one of the near future project where we are planning to provide complete support to the Street kids with free schools, Shelters, medical centers, play ground and yoga centers for the Street kids.]

Now we are heading to make one place for our Street kids' and Volunteers and the name of this Project is "KIDS' LAND", where at least hundred Street Children can be accommodated at night and also can give support to many other street children during day time.In this place we are planning to make Night Shelter with Free School, Play ground, Medical center, Yoga Learning center, Language Learning Center only for the Street Children .From our last more than one year experience in the place Sealdah we noticed that the street children near about 200 staying in or around Sealdah Rail Station. These are the children who are fighting for their life everyday from early morning to late night. Early morning each children from age 3-15 years of age start fighting for their food, cloth and other necessities for their life .

These children usually live on the platform and it's surrounding places with the or without their families. They engaged themselves in different kinds of work like begging, water supplying , Carrying the Passengers' Luggage, working in the fish and vegetable market etc. Many children from the age of 10/12 involve themselves in different kinds of illegal activities like drug, alcohol dealings, Prostitution etc. Local mafia use these children as a carrier for their business and just for few money and food these children involve themselves in these kind of illegal acts .This is the reason why in this world maximum of the criminals are coming from these street children. If we can reduce the number of the street children then only we can reduce the number of criminals from our society. The girls from this place are pushed and forced to do prostitution at the of 8/9/10 years by the mafias, even sometimes these girls are been forced in front of their poor parent but their parent could not do anything out of fear. On the rail station at night also they always been tortured in one side by the local mafias and in the other side by the Police personals so these children find themselves in a complete in secure place and slowly they loose their faith of society .Through this Project we like not only to accommodated Street children but also to give many other supports like food/education/culture/training programs etc .Our target to give them a better life with lots of love and affection so that they also can understand that they are also the part of this society. This will be the first center and in future we like to make many more of this center in other parts of the country.
We need huge funds and international volunteers' supports for this project.

4.Construction Projects:-
In coming days we like to build up 10 community centers with non formal schools and library for the slum people who lives near railway track and around .There are more than 2000 kids and their families living at different slum near sealdah stationand in every 2 k.m distance we like to build up a center .Our target to give non formal education and side by side various training programs to generate their income level in future. We need all of your supports to fulfill our target and now We are currently evaluating and setting up a center for the children of Siliguri who are working everyday under the sun with there families breaking rocks for a pathetic pittance to simply feed themselves. This center will be similar to the ones already in place and nurturing the lives of children, though it will be custom tailored to the specific needs of these kids.
